Will I be able to study in the library? Where can I use a computer lab?

The Library building, including study space and its computer labs, is currently open to Middlesex College students, faculty and staff. The general public is also welcome to visit the library. The Library's Learning Center lab in IRC 241 is also available for computing, printing, and studying.

The lower level of the library is available for individual quiet study, and study rooms are available for groups of 2-8 students: More information about available study spaces.

How can I access library resources for my class?
- Library books are available to all visitors in the library during our open hours. A library card (either a Middlesex College photo ID or a library card from another LMxAC library) is required to take books out of the library.
- Patrons are encouraged to use the Library’s online databases to locate journal articles, e-books, reference materials, streaming media, and other formats of online works. English course readings are linked in our LibGuides.
- In order to access library databases, you’ll need to sign in with your NetID email and password.

How can I use ebooks from the library?
- Use the Library Catalog’s ebooks function to find books on your topic. Then click on the Electronic Access link in the record for the book, and sign in with your NetID email and password.
My online class is scheduled to meet with a librarian online on a certain date. What will happen?
- Library Instruction will be coordinated with the instructor and provided via a live conference link in Canvas or Zoom.
Can I get subject tutoring and/or writing help?
- Yes! You may view the tutoring services schedule here. Face-to-face tutoring has resumed and online tutoring will be available via WCOnline for writing and subject tutoring.
