Yes, the Library has access to many different ebooks!

Ebooks only for Middlesex College students and staff:

Many of our ebooks can be accessed directly, online, by finding them in the Library's catalog and clicking on the link that says: "E-book available to Middlesex College students and staff; click to view." If you are off-campus, you'll be asked to login with your Middlesex email address and password to access the book(s). These ebooks come from many different vendors. Some of them can be downloaded in whole or in part to your digital device for offline use, but online access is generally smoother.

Public Library Ebooks, E-audiobooks and Popular Magazines

There are also popular ebooks, e-audiobooks and magazines available to you through ELibraryNJ (Libby) and Hoopla. You can use the buttons for these to search in our catalog, or, once you've installed the apps (Libby, Hoopla, RBdigital) on your device and set it up for your Middlesex College bar code, search through the app to find and check out items.

  • The apps are available through your device's app store.
  • You'll need to set up and configure an account in each app you want to use: Instructions for eLibrary/Libby   |   Instructions for Hoopla
    • Your library bar code is the bar code on your MCC photo ID-- as long as MCC library has confirmed your account in our system for checking out books. Ask at the Circ desk to confirm.
    • Note that if you have a library card at a public library that is a member of the LMxAC consortium, you can use that library card number instead!
    • You may need to choose LMxAC or ELibraryNJ as your library, then choose Middlesex County College. (Look carefully, there's also a Middlesex Public Library!)
